When resetting chips on genuine Epson T405XL cartridges, you will need to reset your cartridge before your printer or printer driver status monitor displays an "X" inside the icon ink level. Any cartridge that already says "X" cannot be reset. The reset light may turn green but it will still say "X" or not recognized when reinstalling.
